School of Rock Movie and Music Night

Calling all youth ages 10-22! We are super excited to announce Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical “School of Rock” as the summer 2025 Youth on Stage production!

If that wasn’t exciting enough, there will be 4 events throughout the year culminating in auditions for the show. You don’t need to audition to participate in the events and they are open to all youth ages 10-22, and their parents. 

The first event will be held at the theater on Saturday, November 30, at 6 p.m. and is free of charge!

The event will include refreshments, a film screening, and a chance to check out, play and maybe learn a bit about the rock and roll instruments that are used in the show: guitar, keyboard, bass and drums.

But wait! That’s not all! Come dressed in your best ’80s and ’90s garb for a peer-reviewed costume contest – the winner will receive a brand-new Fender Squire StratPack guitar and amplifier.

Rules for the costume contest:

• The costume contest is open to all people in the Youth on Stage age group for School of Rock: ages 10-22.
• Ballots and name tags will be handed out at the start of the night. Grab a snack, walk around and say hello. Vote for your favorites and put your ballots in the ballot box. The results will be shared at the end of the film.
