NFCT will co-host a Historical Graveyard Tour of the churchyard next to Mattituck Presbyterian Church (adjacent to the theater) starting at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12 (rain date: Oct. 19). The event is a joint venture of Mattituck Historical Society, the Mattituck Presbyterian Church Graveyard restoration committee and NFCT.
Tickets are $20. Proceeds will be shared between the three organizations.
The tour begins at NFCT, with groups of no more than 20 scheduled in 10-minute intervals. Actors in period costume (many from NFCT) will portray historical figures who are buried at the graveyard. The tour ends at the church, with a pop-up exhibit and talk on Victorian mourning customs. Refreshments follow.
