“Pippin,” the 2019 Youth on Stage summer musical.
The Youth on Stage program has been presenting a musical every summer on the NFCT stage since 1971. The program is open to actors, singers and dancers ages 14 to 22. Youth are encouraged to get involved with all aspects of the production, and feel empowered to try new things. See a complete list of YOS productions below.
YOS 2025 Info:
The upcoming YOS production will be School of Rock. This year the ages of participants has been extended to include youth ages 10-22. To learn more about the production and how to get involved you can attend one of the special events leading up to auditions in the spring.
January 11, 2025 – Karaoke Night and Poster Contest – Sing with your friends and make your own band poster to enter to win a bass guitar and one month of free lessons at School of Rock music school in Riverhead.
February 15, 2025 – Rock & Roll Workshop – Be prepared to jam. Rock out with your peers on stage.
April 12, 2025 – Audition Workshop – Learn about how to pick the right song, how to write a theatre resume, and what to bring to auditions. This is your chance to ask the production team any questions BEFORE auditions.
May, 2025 – Audition Dates to be announced.
