2026 NFCT Scholarship Application Deadline

Each year North Fork Community Theatre presents scholarships to high school seniors from area schools. Click on the link below for the application:

NFCT Scholarship Application 2026

$1,000 scholarship will be available at each of the following schools:
Riverhead High School
Mattituck High School
Southold High School
Greenport High School
Shelter Island High School

There will be an additional scholarship awarded to include the expanding range of the NFCT community. All
applicants are eligible for this scholarship. Students not in one of the schools listed above may also apply.

Awards will be based upon the following criteria: talent, academics, essay, letter of recommendation and
performance/participation history. Preference will be given to active NFCT members or participants, but this is
not an absolute requirement. Applicants must have a history of either performance or off-stage experience (e.g.
lighting, crew, set design, etc.) either in high school or in local community organizations.

To be eligible for oneof these scholarships, the following requirements must be met:
1. Complete the attached scholarship application cover sheet.
2. Provide an official copy of your high school transcript with your application.
3. Write an essay of no more than 250 words, telling about the meaning of performance or participation in
theater/music activities in your life. Tell what your future plans will be: college or work, what you plan
to major in if you will attend college, and some of your goals as a participant/performer.
4. Include your performance/participation resume.
5. Include a letter of recommendation from a person with knowledge of your performance/participation
history, potential and commitment to the arts.

APPLICATION PACKAGES MUST BE EMAILED TO [email protected]. Be sure to include all
items as listed above and include your contact information on the attached cover sheet.
When all items have been received you will get an email confirming that your application is complete. All
components must be received by the due date even if being sent by someone else.
